Melbourne Victory was front and centre as the City of Melbourne strengthened ties with their Chinese counterparts last month.
Lord Mayor Nicholas Reece visited China on a Business Mission in September, and as part of this international engagement, officially opened the China–Australia Sports Medicine & Rehabilitation Centre in Nanjing.
During the ceremony, there was a jersey exchange between Nanjing and Melbourne Victory, symbolising the strong sporting and cultural links between the two cities.
The occasion emphasises Melbourne’s reputation as a global sporting capital, as well as signposting Melbourne Victory as a pillar of Melbourne’s sporting community.
