Mitchell Duke Returns to South West Sydney

Macarthur FC is thrilled to announce the signing of Socceroos forward Mitchell Duke, who joins the club until the end of the 2025/26 Isuzu UTE A-League season.

Duke arrives from J1 League side Machida Zelvia, marking his return to the A-Leagues after playing for the Western Sydney Wanderers during the 2020/21 season. Born and raised in South West Sydney, Duke comes home to represent a club that reflects the community he grew up in and has always been passionate about.

Throughout his career, Duke has played for clubs including Machida Zelvia, Al-Taawoun and Shimizu S-Pulse, and he remains a key figure in the Socceroos squad. He has made more than 50 appearances for Australia, scoring 13 goals, including his memorable match-winner against Tunisia at the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Duke brings a wealth of experience and a proven goalscoring record to the Bulls. He has already achieved an A-League Championship, a J2 League Championship and a Japanese Cup title, and he has scored a total of 76 goals across all competitions. His leadership on and off the pitch is expected to be invaluable as the Bulls aim for success domestically and in the Asian Champions League.

Bulls Group CEO Sam Krslovic said:

“With Mitchell’s extensive experience in Asia we see him as a perfect addition to help us progress deep into the Asian Champions League as well as making an impact in the A-League.”

Mitchell Duke shared his excitement about returning home:

“It feels so good to join Macarthur and to know it’s literally where all my family are based around is special being able to play in front of family & friends. “

“I chose Macarthur as I am close to home and I know I will play my best football being happy close to my loved ones again.”

“I also believe that the team has all the potential to achieve winning titles with the players and coaching staff there and I’m looking forward to help with pushing towards those achievements in the league and ACL2.”

“Being an experienced player now with 50 caps for the Socceroos and playing abroad in Asia for 10 years, I want to bring that to the group to help the younger players and drive a good standard within the group to have the best chances of winning titles.”

“I am more motivated than ever to show myself back home. I can’t wait to get started.”

We are delighted to welcome Mitchell Duke back to South West Sydney and the Bulls. Fans can look forward to his talent, experience and leadership inspiring the team on the road to success.
