Manly United is excited to welcome a trio of experienced players to the club’s Senior Women squad – Sienna Dale, Georgia Ritchie and Emma Bates.
All three featured during last weekend’s away fixture against Illawarra, where a composed and energetic Manly secured victory after Anita Zordan netted from a Dale assist in the 85th-minute.
Of course, Dale is a familiar face to Manly fans, having joined the club as a nine-year-old and progressed through the pathway system before earning an opportunity with A-League side Canberra United.
Ritchie (a GK) and Bates also bring valuable A-League experience following their recent involvement with the Newcastle Jets.
Further highlighting the quality within the squad, both Dale and Ritchie have recently been selected in Football Australia’s Future Matildas program.
Their arrival adds another dimension to the side, bringing intensity and professionalism that continues to lift standards both on and off the pitch. It also provides an important example for the club’s younger pathway players aspiring to reach the top levels of the game.
Last weekend’s performance again showcased the squad’s resilience and attacking intent, with the blend of youth, pathway talent and elite-level experience continuing to shape an exciting group.
Attention now turns to this weekend’s clash against Bulls FC, where Manly will look to build on its recent momentum and continue climbing the ladder.
With players like Dale, Ritchie and Bates in the mix, the Senior Women will once again head into the contest full of confidence.
Next Manly Senior Women fixture is on Sunday, May 17 at Northbridge Oval against Bulls FC – First Grade KO 2.40pm
