Nunn and Vlok collect A-League awards

Two Wellington Phoenix women’s players have been recognised at the 2026 Dolan Warren Awards.

Brooke Nunn and Pia Vlok have received individual accolades at the A-Leagues’ annual awards ceremony in Sydney following their stand-out seasons for the Phoenix.

Nunn has been voted the eToro playmaker of the year. She was nominated for the award after winning the assist of the month in March for her deft pass which led to Vlok’s opening goal in the 3-0 win over Sydney FC.

The experienced English winger led the Nix with seven assists during the 2025-26 A-League and also scored six goals.

Vlok was named the Ninja A-League young footballer of the year. The 17-year-old was nominated for the award in March/April at the end of a breakout rookie campaign.

She scored six goals during the regular season to share the club’s golden boot with Nunn, while also contributing four assists.

Pia Vlok, Brooke Nunn, Grace Jale and Makala Woods were all finalists for the Shark fan player of the year award which was won by Canberra United’s Bethany Gordon.

Former Nix midfielder Isabel Gomez won the Julie Dolan Medal for the women’s player of the season following another standout season for the Central Coast Mariners.

Melbourne Victory playmaker Juan Mata was the runaway winner of the Johnny Warren Medal for the men’s player of the season.
