The Round of 16 for the Australian Cup has been set after South Melbourne and Brisbane Roar sealed the final two places from the Round of 32 on Thursday night.
With defending champions Newcastle Jets out, and a record four A-League clubs eliminated following South Melbourne’s win over Adelaide United, the field is wide open in the 2026 tournament.
There are two all A-League match ups – Brisbane Roar v Sydney and Western Sydney v Melbourne Victory – as well as two mouth watering local National Premier League derbies, with APIA Leichhardt hosting Sydney United 58 and Brunswick Juventus against Preston Lions. Meanwhile, SD Raiders and Macarthur will battle it out in Sydney’s west.
