Every Beat Matters | The Defibrillator That Helped Save Warwick’s Life ❤️

Every Beat Matters ❤️

During a match, Warwick Scherf suffered a sudden cardiac arrest and collapsed on the field.

North Epping Rangers’ Justin Wray and Normanhurst FC’s Neal McCarry immediately began CPR, but there was no defibrillator at the ground. With the help of opposition players from Ararat FC, a defibrillator was located in an apartment block across the road and used until paramedics arrived, helping save Warwick’s life.

The response from those involved, all part of the NWSF Association football community, is a powerful reminder of why access to a defibrillator at every football ground matters when every second counts.

Through Every Beat Matters, we’re raising funds to provide more life-saving defibrillators to grassroots football clubs across NSW.

🎟️ For just $5, you can help make our game safer while going into the draw to win a brand-new Toyota Corolla ZR Hatch.
