Ins & Outs: Brisbane v Wanderers

Head coach Gary van Egmond has named his extended squad for Friday night’s clash against Brisbane Roar at Suncorp Stadium. Western Sydney Wanderers will head to Queensland on Friday night to face Brisbane Roar at Suncorp Stadium, with both sides eager to build momentum as the Isuzu UTE A-League season nears its final stretch. The Wanderers come off a narrow 2-1 loss to Newcastle Jets, where Bozhidar Kraev gave them an early lead before the Jets struck twice in the second half to snatch the win. Brisbane Roar’s last outing was a 1-1 draw with Perth Glory. Chris Long opened the scoring before an own goal from Youstin Salas levelled the contest. The Roar also lost both starting strikers to injury, leaving questions over their attacking options heading into Friday’s match. With both teams outside the top six, this clash is a key chance to gain ground. The Wanderers will look to respond with a strong road performance, while Brisbane will aim to make home advantage count as they push for finals contention. Western Sydney Wanderers FC: 3.Alex Gersbach, 7.Ryan FRASER, 8.Steven UGARKOVIC, 9.Kosta BARBAROUSES, 11.Hiroshi IBUSUKI,  14.Philip CANCAR, 17.Jarrod CARLUCCIO, 18.Jacob FARRELL, 20.Thomas…
