M-Brace returns this April for the Jets F3 Derby Mental Health Trek. This year a group of dedicated walkers are taking on a 90km journey from Central Coast Stadium to McDonald Jones Stadium to raise awareness and funds for mental health.
Held across April 24–25, the trek will see former athletes, media personalities, and community members walk side-by-side, united by a shared goal to support those impacted by mental health challenges.
The group will arrive at McDonald Jones Stadium ahead of the F3 Derby between the Newcastle Jets and Central Coast Mariners, marking a powerful finish to the 2-day challenge.
Funds raised through the trek support M-Brace for Mental Health, an initiative providing free counselling, psychological and psychiatric services, and telehealth support for Australians in need.
With mental health support still out of reach for more than two million Australians each year, organisers say the event is more important than ever.
“This is about showing people they’re not alone and making sure help is accessible when it’s needed most. Funds raised help those in need get the mental health services they so desperately require at zero
cost to them.” – Alex Sovechles CEO ProCare Mental Health Services
M-Brace is encouraging the community to support the cause through donations or by sponsoring one of the walkers. Links to each of the walkers can be found on M-Brace.org.au.
Other ways the community can support the cause is by purchasing an M-Brace bracelet.
Anyone who purchases an M-Brace Bracelet before April 22 automatically goes into the draw for some amazing prizes, including:
● Corporate box tickets to the F3 Derby
● Signed Newcastle Jets merchandise
● A family holiday valued at $5,000
