When Tony Danaskos suffered a cardiac arrest while playing for Connells Point FC Over 45s in 2022, every second mattered.
Tony's life was saved thanks to the quick actions of those around him, with CPR started immediately before a nearby defibrillator was used until paramedics arrived. His story is a powerful reminder of why every football ground should have access to a defibrillator because no family should lose a loved one when life-saving equipment could make all the difference.
Supported by Toyota and St John Ambulance, Every Beat Matters is helping fund defibrillators, replacement pads and batteries for grassroots clubs across NSW, ensuring more football communities are prepared when every second counts.
